A Finale Recap/Review
So I wrote my first Episode recap/review. It may not be worth reading, but it sure was fun to write. I didn't post it on the blog, because it is quite long. However, I will post an excerpt and a link into the forum where I did post it. I hope you enjoy! Leave feedback, if you want.
OK first things first. I know that many fans are mad. As soon as the episode went off I was mad. Very, very mad. I had read spoilers and had let myself believe that Booth and Brennan wouldn’t leave.(I know, a good reason to cut back or not read spoilers) In my little fan girl mind I had pictured B&B running back to each other in the airport. It didn’t happen, and if I really think about it, it would have been awful if the episode would have ended there. Very cliché. An awful cliché. SO, after a good night’s rest, I woke up with a change of heart. So much so that I think this episode was really quite good and may be my favorite finale thus far. So here is my first review, and it is on the season 5 finale ‘The Beginning in the End’.

David Boreanaz on Jimmy Fallon
David Boreanaz was on Jimmy Fallon last night (Monday the 17th), however NBC has copyrighted all of the youtube video's. Unfortunately you can only watch on the NBC website here. The interview is cropped a little, but nothing important is missing. If it slips onto youtube I will find a link. :)
*WARNING: IT IS SPOILERY FOR THE FINALE, SO IF YOU WANT TO BE BLISSFULLY IGNORANT, DON'T WATCH!!

Bones Fan Columnist: Will the Gravedigger Return?
Last week's episode of Bones, "The Boy with the Answer," gave us long-awaited justice for the Gravedigger. Payback, if you will. After a long and grueling trial, the jury found her guilty on all counts. I, for one, was ecstatic, as I'm sure you all were too. And, of course, Booth and the rest of the Squints were able to breathe a sigh of relief after continuously being put through the wringer emotionally the entire episode. There is, after all, no denying the Gravedigger is one creepy lady. She creeped me out the whole episode, that's for sure. But imagine being Booth, Brennan, or Hodgins who were all her victims. What does that do to a person? Well, for Booth, it didn't seem to do too much. I'm sure on the inside he was very scared and anxious about the outcome of the trial, but perhaps he was too proud to show it. Then again, maybe he was trying to be brave and strong for the rest of the Squints and especially for Brennan. He did after all drop his charges so that she wouldn't have to testify alone. That's totally the Booth we all know and love, isn't it?
Then, of course, we have Hodgins. After being buried alive in Season 2, we saw him visibly shaken up. And who wouldn't be after an ordeal like that? The man we usually saw dealing with tough situations by incorporating his conspiracy theories or humor was no longer completely the same. He would always carry that with him. In this episode, things were not much different until the end. At first, Hodgins was angry and afraid. He felt as though the Gravedigger was coming between him and Angela and that there was nothing he could do to stop it. But, by the end of the episode, Hodgins realized that he could and would not let the Gravedigger control him anymore, no matter the outcome of the trial. He would always have Angela, and that would be more than enough.
Then, we have Brennan. I have to say that she was a lot more emotional than we usually see her in this episode, but it was definitely warranted, and I think that's a testament to the development of her character. She didn't let the Gravedigger win, and she worked as hard as she could to make sure that didn't happen. However, despite the positive outcome of the Gravedigger case, seeds of doubt were planted in Brennan's head throughout the episode. For instance, she remembers life when she was just a researcher not involved with the FBI, and she remembers what it was like before she started dealing with murder and sadness and pain. Essentially, she says she is tired of all of it. This is what prompts her to contemplate leaving the Jeffersonian. Booth suggests a little time off would be good for her, but Brennan's face in response to this looked a little troubling in my opinion. I guess the question is whether or not she will take a vacation and come back, leave and never come back, or not go at all. 2 more days and we'll have the answer!
Also, I'd like to take this time to mention Cam, Sweets, and Angela. Although they were not direct victims of the Gravedigger's cruelty, it doesn't mean that they did not go through the same range of emotions as Booth, Brennan, and Hodgins. In fact, they were a huge part of solving the case, and I'd like to congratulate them for a job well done. Sweets provided moral support for everyone along with a psych profile of the Gravedigger, Angela kept Hodgins under control, and Cam was able to lead her people to success. So there we have it. The Gravedigger certainly did a number on all of our beloved Bones characters, but now she's gone and everything's fine, right? Well, not exactly. If you recall, at the end of the episode, the Gravedigger confronted Brennan and said, "This isn't over." At first, I didn't think anything of this. If anything, I was waiting for her to shut up and go back to her cell.
But, this past week, Emily Deschanel and Hart Hanson were involved in a conference call talking about some very juicy things, and one of these things they talked about was the Gravedigger.
Now, just to let you know, if you don't like spoilers, you probably shouldn't read on.
During their conference call which TV Tango documented, Hart and Emily were asked if there were any future nemesis arcs coming up. In unison, they both said yes, while Hanson continued, "If you watch the 2nd to last episode of the season you'll have the answer to that." So, what does this mean exactly? The truth is that I'm not entirely sure. Clearly, I take from this that the Gravedigger will be a nemesis for the Squints and that the issue of her will possibly be revisited in Season 6, but, still, I do not know for sure. My question is how they would bring her back. She can't possibly go free anymore so that is reassuring, but that still leaves me wondering how they would revisit the storyline. I guess we will just have to trust the Bones writers and wait to see what happens next season. I'm thinking it's gonna be a good one.
So, what do you guys think about the Gravedigger's nemesis arc? What do you think this means? Do you think it will in any way affect next season?

Adam West Loves Bones
This video makes me laugh! Would it be wrong to change this websites name to 'Squinting at Boners'? Catchy, no? On the other hand, I think we may start attracting the wrong sort of attention if we did that!

Fox Upfronts
David and Emily both attended the fox upfronts in NYC. We'll probably update this post with more photos as they start rolling in, as only a few have been released at the moment. Emily has a new haircut, probably due to her filming the movie 'The Perfect Family' over the summer. According to Kristin Dos Santos, who interviewed her, Emily said "she'll keep the look for Bones". David Boreanaz apparently didn't give any interviews.
