A squint fact, for the Squint in us all

When trying to discover buried remains there are many environmental factors that indicate a body was buried.

If the burial was recent then there may be odor, insect activity and disturbed vegetation such as broken branches or trampled grass.

If a burial occurred a year or more prior,  there will be an excess of young plant growth surrounded by mature vegetation. Soil composition, color and compaction are indicators for both short term and long term.
