A squint fact, for the Squint in us all

OK,

Since our blog is titled Squinting at Bones, I thought maybe it would be interesting if I posted some real facts on Forensics, focusing mostly on Forensic Anthropology. You may wonder what the heck do i know about Anthropology other than what has been told on the show. Well I am actually getting two minors one in Forensic Science and the other in Anthropology in which I am studying under a very well respected Forensic Anthropologist in this area. Hopefully you will find my factoids as interesting as I do.

I don't know if this is general knowledge or if anyone even cares, but I will hopefully post some facts up regularly. If there is something you want to know about, ask in the comments and I will do my best to find out for you.

Factoid # 1

Anthropology means quite literally 'the study of Humans'.  It is actually a very broad area of science is typically broken into 3 sub groups Archaeology (the study of past cultures), Cultural Anthropology (aspects of human society, culture, behavior, beliefs, ways of life), and Biological or Physical Anthropology (physical and biological aspects of the primate order. This includes the Forensic part of Anthropology).

I learn something new everyday. Yesterday I learnt not to kick my typewriter with my bare foot! Ouchy!

Don't ask why I have a typewriter, I have no clue! Maybe it'll come in handy if there's an electromagnetic pulse that wipes out all the electrical devices! lol
